Hey there, I’m Kinza!
I’m a UX designer informed by my experience as a teacher in the non-profit industry. I’ve always been interested in behavioral science, leading me to study Psychology and Sociology. Being able to bring a behavioral science perspective to a thriving and growing field is what inspired me to shift into UX. I recently completed the UI/UX Bootcamp at Springboard.
As a budding designer, I am currently interested in learning how design can improve and create business solutions. I am impressed with companies that utilize UX research to give me, their user, an experience that feels so natural that I easily maneuver through their design with minimal forethought. It reminds me of the multi-step lessons I created for my students as a teacher and it is this type of experience that I aim to bring into my designs.
In my free time, I like to cuddle with my cat, Sebastian, read books, and go down YouTube rabbit holes in whatever topic I am interested in at that point in time. Recently, the topic of interest has been slow fashion which is encouraging me to revive my lost skill of sewing. I am a fervent cleaner and organizer (so much so that I would call it a hobby) but am slowly teaching myself to let go and relax sometimes.
I’m always interested in chatting about the best homemade cleaners and how UX is everywhere in our lives but I will also talk about anything you’re interested in.
